Apple iPhone 5 Officially Announced

Apple iPhone 5 officially Announced today by the Apple CEO Tim Cook in a press conference in San Francisco. The wait is now over and you don’t have to see iPhone 5 concepts when you can see original pictures from the press conference mention below. The much anticipated iPhone 5 has bigger touch screen with better WIFI connection and LTE. The biggest disappointment is that no new feature is announced with no new groundbreaking design changes. Although its slimmer and lighter than the iPhone 4S model but still no huge design changes as you may expect in newer model.

Say good bye to 3.5 inches touch screen because 5th generation Apple iPhone has 4 inches Retina Display with 326 pixels per inch which means more detailed screen quality. It has full HD 16:9 aspect ratio screen with 1136×640 pixel resolution and 44% more color saturation so that you can enjoy movies on this beautiful device.

Of course when the size of the screen is increased the software version should also be improved in order to accommodate the apps. Unfortunately your older apps will not fit into the new screen and will show black borders. New version has lots of improvements including tweaks to Siri and the new Passbook.

More Slim and Lighter

The new version is 20% lighter and 18% thinner than the iPhone 4S model which means more slim and you can feel the exceptional quality of this amazing gadget in your hands. Just 7.6mm thick and weighting 120 grams its no doubt the best iPhone ever produced by Apple.

Fast Processor and Graphics

Apple upgrades the processor in each and every model of iPhone and that’s why they shipped the iPhone 5 with A6 processor which is twice as fast from A5 processor shipped with iPhone 4S. Graphics are also improved and now you can enjoy HD games with 2X time more faster graphics chip.

Same Camera with better performance

Camera is still the same which was available in iPhone 4S but they have improved some of its features to improve picture quality. It has 8 Mega Pixel camera with 3264*2448 resolution, Backside illumination, Hybird IR filter, 5 elements lens and f/2.4 aperture which can take beautiful detailed pictures in dark too.

Network and Battery

Shipped with almost all connectivity options available at the moment with new addition of LTE. Along with LTE there are WIFI, GPRS, EDGE, EV-DO, HSPA available for connectivity. WIFI reception is more powerful with the help of 802.11 a/b/g/n antenna. Battery has 8 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hours video, and 40 hours Music playback. NFS is missing thought  which is a huge surprise.

Upgraded Microphone and Dock Connecter

Well its not the matter that iPhone voice quality is bad but they want to improve the microphone quality for better Siri interception. Along with this Apple announced the new eight-pin dock connecter named as Lightning which of-course require additional adapter if you want to use it with previous versions.

Colors and Price

Apple will start taking the pre-orders of iPhone 5 in US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore from 14 September 2012 and will ship the order from 21st September. You have the option of only two colors Black and white. Prices are almost the same with $199 for the 16GB model, while the 32GB will cost $299 and the 64GB $399 dollars.
