Samsung smartphones screens are getting bigger day by day and this time they introduced the mighty Samsung Galaxy Grand with 5-inch WVGA display. The phone is an Android phone although that they have recently introduced the Windows Smartphone which was very successful. Although it has 5 inch touch screen but the resolution is very disappointing and on has 800*480 which is far less than the average smartphone screen resolution.
Samsung is planning to release this phone with both single SIM and Dual SIM so if you have more than one network SIM than this might a good option for you. It has 1.2GHz dual-core processor which is good when you compare it with screen resolution.
Another disappointment is just 1GB RAM which might not be enough for your gaming needs or for heavy apps. Camera quality is good with 8 Mega Pixel and ability to record 1080p video recording its quite handful. Front facing camera is also available with 2 megapixel resolution.
This phone will run Samsung’s TouchWiz interface which is a custom User interface on top of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Like other Samsung series smartphones it has only 8GB of internal memory but the good news is that it has microSD card slot which let you upgrade your phone memory upto 64GB. Battery size and capacity is the same in galaxy S3 with 2,100mAh battery. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, HSPA+ S Voice, multi window mode, Direct Call, AllShare Play, Smart Alert and Popup Play.
You are right, it is quite disappointing that the screen resolution is very low but Samsung lover’s still found interest in this new smartphone due to it’s dual SIM advantages.
Tech changes everyday and we can not find which one is best. Samsung is my favorite brand and I always want to use its products. Very smart and easy. I think people who get familiar with one product they will not want to change
